Howdy, I just remembered that we created a novel visual game as our requirement for our programming course back then. I want to share a video demo of the game here and the details of the game. Below is the link for the game demo:
Sabishī no Tamashī is a visual novel game with role-playing(RPG) style elements. The game begins with a prologue, and players are expected to read through the presented dialog for each scene of the game to gain an understanding of the story. The story is illustrated with manually and mechanically drawn scenes and characters with little animation so that the player can focus on reading the characters' dialog.
After certain dialog scenes, the player’s interface is then replaced from a “visual novel”-Esque view to a top-down RPG view where the character can move around the area within the game. As you play as Kazuma and walk around interacting with the non-player characters in an atmospheric 2D environment, you may encounter mini-games necessary for the game's story progression.
